Bayview Hunters Point (c&e)

Bayview Hunters Point is an intimate look at the lives of the older African American generation living in Bayview Hunter's Point through the lives of a pastor, a gardener and an African American activist. Through their stories the film explores the history of racism in America leading to the present crises, environmental injustice. Each character moved from the South to the West Coast with the dream of a better life, but the issue of race, displacement and disregard surface again and again. As their neighborhood becomes the focus of conflict due to severe pollution, corruption, poverty and now financial opportunity, the film explores the significance of the American Dream and the evolution of a low income neighborhood in San Francisco.
