Very interesting how people write songs! I was intently studying your video here. I compose in a more different way. I usually start with the verse and create a chord progression. But I NEVER use any major chords. I use alot of maj/min 7ths, 9ths, and add 2nd major chords. But I base it all around the drum track. I do mostly a fusion/jazz/blues mix. Basing the tune around the drum track forces me to be creative. Then I put keys/guitar/bass....then produce.....
