@eppeywonder yes, you are absolutely right! they were very prolific during their time in Oz (and of course after they returned to england, as well) - writing many tunes that others recorded, and singing (and producing) on others' recordings of their songs. indelible bee gees stamp was on lots of records esp in 60's and early 70's!

PS Check Only One Woman by The Marbles - another Aus act and The Gibbs were also on that. Hit in UK

@LadieBug357 I actually seem to recall them playing in Gippsland in Victoria in Australia. I have often heard it said that that it featured The Bee Gees on it . If you check many Oz 45s from the 60s ( this was about 74 ) The Bee Gees frequently appeared on stuff or at least composed it.

reminds me of simple days, of early youth.

My older sister had this 45! I used to listen to it over and over. Does anyone have it, or at least the song that was on the flip side? It was their version of "Beyond the Sea" If so can you upload it for me?

Listening to this while eating toast and marmalade and drinking tea = bliss.

@imlavernesmom funny you should say that, as maurice gibb was their producer! i agree, it is a great song - an international hit, and maurice plays bass (with a broken arm)! don't ya just love that distorted piano?

I know it ISN'T him but the vocalist sounds quite like Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd. Very simple lyrics and nice tune. As others have said, much better than all the pap which is in the charts today, so called "soul" or "r & b" - if only they knew what REAL soul and r & b was!
