F*** the government. The swedish government can destroy all the courches but they don't.
Destroy the courches and build asatru temples in Sweden.

I totally agree. Of course, here in America a good deal of blame can be laid at the feet of parents who have abrogated the responsibility for raising their children to the government schools, the church and even television. The attitude is "here, you take them. I don't have time for this." It's the 'it takes a government village" to raise children mentality. Freedom entails personal responsibility and people don't want to assume that anymore.

The state in a banana republic, controled by the military Junta and Rich elite can indeed be seen as evil by the people it oppresses, but a state does not have to be a Banana Republic, nor corrupt, nor have lobbyist legal, or have corporate campaing contributions, there are other ways a state can be setup from the ground up to be for and by the people.

But without the constraints on freedom that the state imposes on us, who would then eat all the Big Macs and drink all the Coke?

i allmost ever share your points of view but this time i don't agree. i think school must be run by the state but it's the job of the state to represent the will of the people. We have a different school system in germany and there is one thing in the U.S. that's really unbelievable to me. The military is allowed to recruit students in school. Collecting adresses to get the students brainwashed later. Political education should be reduced to teaching the basic values of democracy. That's enough
Secular Homeschooling is the best education available today!!!

The Constitution provides freedom of religion, so an adult can CHOOSE the religion that they want to be a part of. When the kids mature, they can make their own choice, atleast in the U.S.
The freedoms that we are loosing is with the government. For instance. Before World War 1, we had no tax on the land. They said "we will make a land tax now, then after the war it will be gone". Never happened. We become desynthesized to our lost freedoms.
