@aryaxt The reason why harmonic was probably brought up is because it simply sounds like an accidental in the 7th diatonic note of the scale. (one half step up) But what makes Marty so unique is 1.) his integration of various scales such has harmonic minor, penatonic, aolian etc. 2.) The way he is able to pull off various accidentals and transitions within and inbetween those scales, and 3.) HIS PHRASING IS EFFING AMAZING, his phrasing is the secret to his sound... Malmsteen is also amazing tho.

Trust me if it was just a bout a fucking scale to sound like marty, marty wouldn't be unique and the best.
