It's a vicious cycle. Uninformed voters make uninformed voting decisions and elect uniformed politicians who then make uninformed choices that make uninformed voters mad who then make hastily and uniformed voting decisions.

You must use your brains, there is only one party in Canada that wont bring us to the same point the Greece is in.
All of our parties are to left leaning, we need a real conservative party that will reduce the size of government and reduce some of our wasteful social programs tha make our people to lazy to work.

@Ms87John People also bitch about the weather, doesn't mean it changes.
In this country we ELECT people to make decisions like this. If people are AFRAID of a bad economy, then they vote 'right' and they do stupid things. If people are AFRAID of personal liberty we vote 'left' and they also do a lot of stupid things. A lot of idiots don't know a damn thing about what they're bitchin' about and should be taxed for simply that. The Stupid Sales Tax. The SST. The SSTupid.

@hitgong I fully agree with you. People should educate themselves. The problem is that most don't.
In our society, we have the illusion of equality, or we like to think we do. How much the government takes from us shouldn't change the fact that we have the privilege of choosing who we give our money to.
That's why something must be done about the youth vote. If everyone between the ages of 18 and 25 voted, it would scare the shit our of our politicians.
You make some uninformed statements in your video. First, spoiling your ballot due to a lack of information does not "get you counted" in fact it is the same as not voting. A spoiled ballot is to represent the fact that, once informed, you don't agree with any of the party platforms which you can vote for. Uninformed voters choosing a box based on name or leader momentum is like sticking your hand in a covered basket and hoping there isn't an angry poisonous snake inside. GET INFORMED THEN VOTE!

@bosn111 Yep. And I found that out when I worked as a poll clerk last Monday. Going to the poll to spoil your vote just uses gas, or wastes a bus ticket or puts miles on your bicycle. You are indeed very correct. Actually going to the poll though might set some muscle memory for next time ;)

so ppl have complained against the HST .. then what happened?? & what if you have only bad choices !?
Ms87John 10 months ago
@Ms87John There is always a choice and you need to make sure you know what it is that you want from your politics. And if there isn't a choice that's satisfying you, run. (Either away from, or right in the middle of your local politics)

Everyone head to fairvote.ca. What we need is proportional representation.

@dalponis YES! People voted against it the last time it was on the federal ballot.
