Nice interview by Gorilla Monsoon and Captain Lou Albano.

Wouldn't you love to be able to give your bosses shit like that? I can see it now..:"listen you armchair know it all jerkaholic-you don't know jack shit and never bothered learning-if you had a clue to begin with!"

@fivebearrugs This was aired on the Saturday Night's Main Event right after the Survivor Series PPV; but the match was pre-recorded on an earlier date for that Saturday post-Survivor Series airing. I think the storyline of Heenan "firing" Tully & Arn was created to make more sense out of their real departure from the company.

So...let me get this straight, as I wasn't watching the WWF at this time. Heenan fires the BB in November '89, but they were still booked to wrestle at the SurSeries with Haku and Andre? I know Tully failed a drug test and he was fired before the actual show and Bobby took his place. I also read that the Series was Arn's last WWF match. Was this match aired before or after the Series?

@TheJman2600 The Heenan firing them angle was created because Blanchard and Anderson were going back to WCW to re-unite the Horsemen. The angle was changed when Blanchard failed the test. He left WWF prematurely. He was then not given a contract by WCW, and later offered a low-ball deal which he declined. They didn't "return" to WCW because up to that time they had wrestled for Jim Crockett (JCP or Mid-Atlantic). JCP was purchased by Turner about a month after their original departure.

@TheJman2600 I remember this. I didn't know about the drug problem though. And this was back in the day when, as soon as you left the Heenan Family, you became a good guy. I thought that's what would happen to the Brain Busters..But they just "vanished."
What the hell is wrong with that guy's tv set????????? That was back in the 80's or 90's wasn't it?

Blanchard failed a drug test before Survivor Series and was fired before the show. I believe Blanchard said someone ratted him out to Jim Herd. From there, Blanchard's contract was torn up and Arn's salary was cut in half.

@TheJman2600 No wonder I never saw Blanchard again. Explains why Anderson went back to WCW & The 4 Horsemen REAL FAST there after. The most un-forgetful and first incident back in WCW I saw, was when him, Flair and his brother BASHED Sting, and kicked him out of the 4 Horsemen. :-)
