This video uses James E. Grunig's situational theory of publics to analyze and discuss the program, Tide Loads of Hope. The situational theory is a theory that uses variables to predict information behavior. Tide Loads of Hope is a program that offers free laundry services to victims of disasters. The focus of the video is the Loads of Hope commercial, and the program's website is also mentioned. Research sources include journal articles, as well as information from the Tide website. A copy of the Loads of Hope television commercial was obtained from the website YouTube.com using screen recording software. Screen capture software was used to show various areas of the Tide website, and to create a digital image of a diagram from a journal article. All media files were entered into a video editing program, along with several slides of text, to create the finished video.
