  • yea've seen em. and yeah, they basically don't even count.

  • is there anbody who made piano patch on alesis micron?

  • There are some out there, but honestly it's really hard to do. A good piano sound is so complex that the micron really can't "model" it with the hardware it has.

Other keyboards use a sampled piano where each key of a real piano is recorded at different velocities and then played back.

I think it's literally impossible to get something better than what's included in the "keys" category. two programs: ArEmEye Piano and EP?OK! are probably what I use most often.

  • dude, thats really really good :)

just one thing.. can you tap tempo say half way during the song to speed it up or slow it down?

  • you definitely CAN tap it to change the tempo. You can also hold the tempo button and spin the main knob to adjust the tempo incrementally.

  • This is all sweet man, don't be so hard on yourself. This looks like such an amazing machine. I can't wait to get it.

  • Thanks man. I'm thinking i'm going to make another vid. Anything in particular you (or anyone else) want to see. like how a certain feature works or something?

  • @ryanconsidine There are a couple of piano patches that one can download from the Ion Yahoo group. They are ok, but not spectacular...

  • Fantastic vid

  • Luv it!

  • Really great (:

  • by holding the phrase button and playing to the tempo as you would in program mode.

another trick that gets overlooked a lot is if you add a drum program to a setup it'll ask you if you want to use that for your rhythm sequence (you can change out sounds of the drums without having to go to the rhythm editor) same way you can change presets for patterns without having to go to pattern editor

  • i think you can record one extra pattern besides the preprogrammed ones in setup mode

  • I can't wait to get a micron, it has everything that I want and need for a first acutal synth,
