She's beautiful, talented & fun, she knew how to make you laugh & smile. A woman full of wit & charm.
*Movie clips are from her early collection-"Man of the World", "We're Not Dressing", "Hands Across The Table", "Love Before Breakfast", "The Princess Comes Across", "True Confession", My Man Godfrey" & Nothing Sacred" NOTE: ** I had to change the song due to YT policy, I had to use their music, so it was able to stay up!!!**** It's hard to find the perfect song for the perfect Miss Lombard.**** :)

  • Thank you very much. I have been an avid fan of both Lombard and Gable since 5 years old...

I wish through the years it was emphasized more how she died for our country. She was a great American, out on the road selling wars bonds, until her plane crashed. She gave up a terrific life, a wonderful husband to serve her country.

I will remember her as being talented, funny, beautiful and most of all Patriotic till the end.

Thank you again for the memories!

  • What a time and what a life they lived in those days. No wonder everyone wants to be a movie star (though it will never be like that again). Film makers of today have lost sight of the fact that FANTASY is a great part of entertainment, a major part of it actually. Now it must be "reality" in the movies and on TV. If I want fucking reality, I can go to the Kroger or Wal-Mart. Now THAT'S reality - but it ain't entertainment!

  • @jennifer1003 She had a miscarriage.

  • This is lovely.

  • @jennifer1003 - would have indeed!

  • @TheCharmingPhoenix - No, sadly. I guess it was Carole who was unable to give birth since we know of two children from Gable. It's sad, but in a way i think it would have been so hard to grow up without her, have to see Dad marry that "Lady Sylvia" person. There are pix of the Gables at Johns Hopkins and the gossip mags said they were there to do some sort of fertility tests but i'm not sure what all existed in 39-40. I think they were greatly sad but loved each other so much, that helped

  • I,ll take Carole Lombard over Marilyn Monroe anyday....

  • Carole was so beautiful and talented.

She will always be real Hollywood.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Carole was, in my opinion, the most beautiful and talented actress to ever grace the silver screen.
