Respond to this video... I was wrong and you were right so the last air to air combat was in 1999 in Yugoslavia. 'On May 4, a Yugoslav MiG-29, piloted by Lt. Colonel Milenko Pavlović, was shot down at a low altitude over his native city Valjevo by two USAF F-16s. The falling aircraft was possibly hit as well by Strela 2 fired by Yugoslav troops. Pavlović was killed.' I found in the wikipedia. Any time when I am wrong let me know . Thanks

@vandor1976 Nato would be 1994 but american would have been in iraq. correct me if I am wrong. a person can only research so many things
-
@123456789mischief Ok point taken. But the Nato last Air to Air combat mission was in Yugoslavia 1994 i think more than 15 years ago!
-
@vandor1976 thats in ground support role when he refers to the fighter pilot he is talking about air to air. the glory stuff not the A10 slugging it out at ground level.

In Afganistan not need supersonic speed mor important the acurate weapons
-
@racinglad and i think the mig 31 can mange it too or faster they were intended to interceptthe sr 71 blacbird spyplane, so if you fit missiles to that and weppon systems but then that thing probly isnt very manovble.
