@Mythteller - Modern Hornby track, yes - Hornby Dublo track no, unless you add the sliding pickups for the centre rail.
I would go with Peco track myself, but there's nothing wrong with Atlas.

@ianupton - not all modelers, but mostly British outline. They can't seem to get past the "toy train" paradigm.
Having said that, Hornby Dublo was very much from the toy train era, even if it was among the first real model train systems.

I wonder if the North American HO locomotives can run on Hornby power track setups without any changes to their electric pickups?

why do all modelers run their trains too fast for the scale ?

Hi ianupton, Funny how they always seem to look faster on vidio, also with these older locos they speed up as they warm up and I am pre-occupied with the camera. Under normal conditions I will often be adjusting the speeds. Ron

This layout evolved over several years, but my latest one (see Rons double deck layout) took about 2 weeks for the basics, once the plans were made. Ron.
