This is one of those weird children who sound like they're 40 years old. She's 10 and is an adorable, cute blonde. She'll be popular. Luckily, she can back it up with an amazing voice. She sings "O Mio Babbino Caro," which is no easy feat (I've sung it for competitions). I don't like the way her voice shifts to the back of her throat sometimes. It's prettier when it's bright and brassy. Still, she's very good. And not just for being 10. She's good for anybody

I have compared this performance to Charlotte Church's and also Hayley Westenra's. And I have to say one thing: As beautiful ly as Charlotte and Hayley sang, only this performance--Jackie Evancho's--gives me chills EVERY TIME. Why? I don't know. But, personally, I think she's a gift from God to us all.

I"m not an opera fan at all, but this has got to be one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard in my life. This child is a gift from God, for sure. This song makes me forget all my problems of the day. It takes me away, and she blows me away! Amazing.

@JohnQuincyAdams1 I have these exact same thoughts, John! I feel that God has sent us a voice to soothe us and remind us that He is there in this increasingly troubled and dark world. Yes, God is reaching out through this wonderful little girl. She is so very blessed, and so are we. As to "do we see?" Let those who have eyes to see, see, and those who have ears to hear, listen.
