Art always poses so many questions. What does it mean to be a businessman in motion? Why does he shake? What is Terry Allen trying to tell us?

  • This is one of my favorite statues I've ever seen. I saw it for the first time about three years ago. I'll never forget how many double takes I took at it. So Strange. It is now a ritual to visit shaking man whenever I visit! Must See for yourself!

  • Wow what an interesting work of art. If we were like this all form of our senses for be super enhanced \^-^/

  • wow just wow

    what a find

    really progressive art

    really moving art

kind of a homage to bums and beggars

    i guess

really thanks for noticing and sharing

  • The opportunity to return energy and noise, or to give light and voice unto life, a challenge, a jolt, to who, what and why you are.

    BL*M

  • Art offers an opportunity to pause, to shake, to look into and out of one self, to reach the silent, stillness of personal being, the awakening moment of realization or comprehension of self and others, to see, observe, connect and experience a completely appropriate transition of individual or group change . . . to be the observer and the observed, the vision and the visionary, both the mirror and the refection, the sound and the echo . . . a chance to grow, to learn . . .

    or . . . NOT ;(

  • Maybe the artist sees in a psychedelic way. A stop motion series of frames, as it were. It is called traces when one sees this way. Also, it reminds me of a famous painting by Marcel Duchamp "Nude Descending a Staircase" it's a take on the Cubism Art Movement ~ look it up

  • Wow! THAT'S an odd one! I'd do a double-take walking past that, too! LOL!

Hope you have an Excellent New Year! *hugs*

  • I love how you just go around and explore. The urban jungle can be very interesting to an observant eye and an inquisitive mind. Are you planning to go outside the United States anytime soon?
