Mayor Richard M. Daley greeted President Hu Jintao of the People's Republic of China at O'Hare International Airport for the President's first visit to Chicago.
President Hu was presented with flowers by Mayor Daley's grandchildren, Maggie and Jack, who greeted the President in Chinese.
Also in the welcoming party were two Chicagoans -- Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement and Christina Tchen, Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement -- and Chris Lu, Assistant to the President and Cabinet Secretary.
