Pre-Order NEW SINGLE RETURN OF WHITE RABBIT RELEASED 8th JUNE
** A-Z Singles Collection **

With 18 Top 40 hits, Ash are one of the most successful singles bands of recent times, consistently bothering our charts and airwaves with their distinctive, lovable and inventive pop.

In 2007 Ash released the album Twilight Of The Innocents, bequeathed another brace of hit singles You Cant Have It All and Polaris, before promptly announcing they would no longer release albums in a traditional way. Heralding a new approach to record releases, the ultimate singles band will now deliver the ultimate singles collection a year long series of fortnightly single releases, with limited edition collectors vinyl.

For the past year they have been holed up in their New York HQ, Atomic Heart Studios, writing and recording a series of songs that will form the A-Z series. From October, each fortnight for the next twelve months, Ash will release a single on limited 7 vinyl and digital download... Commencing with A and running through the alphabet, all 26 songs will be released on Ashs own Atomic Heart Records and will be available through shops and by subscription through the bands website.

To kick off this series, Ash will be releasing a Mark Hamilton penned song RETURN OF WHITE RABBIT. Fans will be able to download this song free of charge from the Ash website www.ash-official.com from May 18, and 1000 limited 7 will be made available to buy through mail order and selected independent record shops from June 8.

New single RETURN OF WHITE RABBIT sees the band throwing angular guitars over electro hooks and growling bass, in a febrile departure from their recent output. Created with resident engineer Claudius Mittendorfer, this is an urgent and liberating take on classic heart-tugging Ash, indicative of the darker electronic influence across the forthcoming A-Z songs.

The exclusive promo CDs THE RETURN OF WHITE RABBIT have been artworked personally by members of the band: Ricks pack of playing cards, Tims apocalyptic bunny rabbits and Marks day-glo stencils.

Ash will be playing two nights at the Bloomsbury Ballroom on June 6 and 7 and a number of festivals over the summer in the lead up to the launch of the A-Z series in October 2009.

  • @PolarisTZA, Agreed.

Guys, shut up and listen for one god damn moment. The good stuff like arcadia dosen't need all the techno and synthetic shit that you can hear like daylight in the background. I'm disapointed that everybody listens to bullcrap like this nowadays.

  • Its a little different, not sure about the chorus but I like most of it. Decent little riffs. Interesting for Ash to try something new, hats off to them.

  • Can you people stop arguing for once in your miserable lives? Everyone has their own taste, you shall not convince anyone otherwise. True fans stand beside them, supporting them and loving every song they make. Keep your negativity to yourselves. Besides, it's a different time, they can't have the same sound as they did before. It's something new, get used to it. I for one love it :)

  • FACT: This is Ash. Not an arguable statement.

You personally not liking doesn't mean it's not Ash.

Boo hoo, they have synthesizers. Okay, so stop listening if you want the band to do the same sound over and over.

  • Charlotte needs to come back.

  • yeah it is

  • Its different. nothing wrong with that. the fucking deadheads on Chris Evans' awful show last night were "complaining" that it sounded like New order. Like thats a bad thing!! These fuckers are so drunk on shit music and safe bands that anything even slightly different scares the daylights out of them..watch the fucking x-factor then

  • With you there. They should bring Charlotte back and do some more stuff like the good old days...

  • It's not Ash though.

All you people who say it's amazing, I want you to go back and see the true Ash. I hear the synthetic crap in the background and they don't need it. All three A-Z songs I;ve heard so far have it too, and it's kind of dissapointing to me. I have loved Ash from Trailer to Twilight of the Innocents.

But this new stuff could be so much better without the mix studio extras.

If you can't see that, i'm a little sad. Ash is better than this.

  • this sounds like what the arctic monkeys new stuff should be like! the arctic monkeys new stuff is shite!
