A Valentine's Day Poem
By Sylvester Awkward
Today is a day filled with roses and candy
If you have a special someone this day can be quite dandy
Chocolates, roses, kisses and cards,
Stained glass windows of bright colored shards
Pink and red and dinner reservations,
Children participating in classroom celebrations.
Those things are just great!
Those things are just swell!
But with out a special someone,
This day can be...well...
You see it on billboards, you see it in ads.
If you have a special someone, it isn't so bad.
But what about the people who haven't found the one?
The one to share these things with,
It really is no fun.
Those who've never given a sparkly card,
Or received a huge bouquet.
All of those who are alone,
When along comes Valentine's Day.
Please! Buy the chocolates! Send the cards!
Go out to dinner too!
But just remember that on the 14th,
There are people who aren't as lucky as you.

Cards: Sylvester's second grade class and Simon
HeHeHe! That was soooooooooooooo funny. Ok, I love the awkward pause at the end. Haha I know the feeling, kid... I also have a hatred for Valentine's Day. It is a holiday created by moochers to suck the money out of people's pockets... I never feel guilty when I don't give anything and I receive a lot, because all of my friends know I give NOTHING on Valentine's Day... Ok. I'm babbling. Well, that is some funny stuff. Way to go. Happy Valentine's Day, or Feliz Dia de San Valentin (In Spanish!):]
