Oh, I cannot express how much fun (insert sarcasm) this mornings drive to work was...thought the roads near my home were bad? Oh no, try the expressways....
Glad I left a bit early. On a side note, it looks absolutely gorgeous at work today. Camp Market covered in a pristine blanket of snow. I will take some video later perhaps. Photos definitely (will be up on my Facebook for family / friends)
why not take the subway or a taxi? glad you're enjoying seoul. i was there in march(cold) and july(a lot of rain) in 2009. heading that way in march again. thanks for the videos!

Normally I would, as I did in Europe. I took the train and bus when I arrived here and was constantly sick (as was my supervisor). As soon as we stopped and started driving, we got well. It's crowded, rarely is there a seat available on the return trip. It takes 30 minutes longer each way than driving. If I need to stop at the base and get groceries on the way home, I can in a car.
As for the taxi, my office is in Bupyeong, I live in Hannam-Dong. That is an expensive taxi ride...each way.

How common is snow in Seoul?

I am told it is not that common. This would explain the driving skills I saw displayed...
