Gundam Seed Destiny: Battle of Berlin

After Lord Djibril assigns the massive GFAS-X1 Destroy to the Phantom Pain's supervision, its designated pilot Stella Loussier goes on a rampage, leveling several cities in Eurasian Federation territories allied with ZAFT, as a demonstration on the cost of siding with and trusting Coordinators. The Destroy is intercepted by the Minerva and ZAFT reinforcements over the city of Berlin, but the capital is heavily leveled and most of the ZAFT forces are obliterated. Soon afterwards, the Archangel and a contingent of surviving Orb Union officers from the Battle of Crete arrive to aid ZAFT. Both battleships provide fire support to their mobile suits, while Kira in the Freedom and Shinn in the Impulse engage the Destroy. Despite Shinn wishing to stop and disable the massive Destroy, Kira is forced to shoot down the mobile armor, saving Shinn and the Minerva, but unfortunately kills its pilot Stella.

You have the description wrong. The Archangel and Orb were there engaging the Destroy first, because they were closer, hiding in the kingdom of Scandinavia. The Minerva and ZAFT got there a few minutes later.
