Meshika in Mexico (201)

The musical group "Trio Los Cardenales" led by Jose Luis Medina Uribe performing at the historic neighbourhood (barrio historico) El Pozo de la Nacion in Acapulco, Saturday, 7 November, 2009 during the 3rd International Festival of Acapulco "La Nao" (5-8 November 2009). In all 12 countries including Mexico participated in this festival. India participated for the first time. A folk dance group Geetanjali International Folk Tang from Mathura in the state of Uttar Pradesh represented India in this festival. Acapulco, whose full name is Acapulco de Juárez, is a resort city and a major sea port in the state of Guerrero on the Pacific coast of Mexico, 395 kms southwest from Mexico City. The name "Acapulco" comes from the Nahuatl language meaning a "place of big reeds".
