The problem is that people believed the lie that this is even reform. This is ALL about a single payer government run healthcare system. With all the mandates on insurance companies, they will quickly begin phasing out health insurance all together. Then the President will have his mandate for the public option, the only option.

Lets talk about compromises since that seems to be an essential part of your vocaublary.There have been compromises within the bill already.
Compromises are made for the benefit of the majority. The majority wants the public option therefore there is no need to compromise on it. I want the best options available now and I wont compromise on that!

You stated that we can go back an add the public option later. Why LATER and not NOW???
The "foundation" that you speak of is built on sand.
Also the politicians should do their job correctly and fight for their constituents.
A MAJORITY of AMERICANS want the public option, therfore the politician should fight for it.
I rather have things stay the way they are than concede to a mandate with a foundation built on sand.
