Achille-Claude Debussy (1862-1918) was a French composer. Along with Maurice Ravel, he is considered one of the most prominent figures working within the field of Impressionist music, though he himself intensely disliked the term when applied to his compositions.

Debussy was not only among the most important of all French composers but also was a central figure in all European music at the turn of the twentieth century.

Debussy's music virtually defines the transition from late-Romantic music to twentieth century modernist music. In French literary circles, the style of this period was known as Symbolism, a movement that directly inspired Debussy both as a composer and as an active cultural participant.

  • What a wonderful arrangment you did with this video!

  • @swedentracknfield Thank you :)

  • My dogs love this song.

  • @RetroZombieee I am glad to hear that :D

  • How do you learn to play songs? is it by sheets or by ear?

  • @Liine5250 If its "classical" then usually by sheets first. Then, when I have learned the notes I start practicing without them and do that as long as I'm satisfied with the result. I think you can't get very far if you play with notes the whole time. It's like they will limit your music.

  • beautiful

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • io la devo fare x i concorsi k faro a maggio.....è veramente stupenda

  • its very difficult to play

  • The images and the music are very well suited for others.Despite all pleas to the contrary, I suspect Claude would have been pleased that his piece would evoke such images in our minds. I am wondering where these were shot at. Very nice presentation in general.

  • beautiful pics to match the music. Very well crafted!

  • @lucretia16 I accidently disliked this :s Shame on me! Btw I loved this so much!

  • hey, shoulden't there be a pedal somewhere?? it dosen't sound like it does....

  • @Narriz Very true in deed. I play modern rythmical music, and i tend to just listen, interpret and peform it my way after that. I certainly dont mind if people take music, and makes it their own. If you put your OWN emotions into the piece you are playing, it will always be good. Provided you have some technique, and something you want to SAY with the music. Emotions are the key to music. Not note-sheets
