@AssesinoCereal that's brilliant, I'm going to that too :)

At 2:12 you can see that Bilbo seems to cast a shadow on the wall, whereas Gandalf doesn't.

Just tea, thank you.
I always say that when i enter a friend's house, even if he didn't offer anything.

You know, at 1.35, you actually can see that it is a bluescreen, I think that how they did use htat tecnique and alle the others was just incerdible
-
@marneebox Probably they positioned the cameras differently. Higher for the hobbits and lower for the 'men'

i understand about the compositing and everything but when you look at the hobbits and gimli in front of the blue screen they still seem a lot smaller than when legolas, boromir, gandalf amd aragorn are in front of their blue screen. How did they achieve that look even without the scale compositing?

I love how John Rhyss-Davies says "taller than the hobits, but not as tall as the elf". He's still so Gimli. It is noticable in other extramaterial too, they still have that "elf/dwarf" rivalery thing going on off camera! Even the actors are nerds - I LOVE it!
Yeah, I was always wondering about those great special effects. They're AMAZABLE!!!!
