As Minnesota's winter weather becomes wetter with climate change, epic spring flooding is becoming more regular. Minnesota's state hydrologists are predicting a devastating flood season. Governor Mark Dayton has been holding flood preparedness meetings several times a week with local officials. Today Representative Michele Bachmann joined Governor Dayton on the front lines of dealing with the results of increased carbon emissions by filling out sandbags to keep the rising St. Croix river within its banks. Governor Dayton knows well the threat that climate change poses to Minnesota and the rest of the world. As a US Senator in 2005 he was a co-sponsor of legislation to fund more scientific research of greenhouse gases and establish a "cap and trade" program to reduce carbon emissions. In contrast, Representative Bachmann has been a documented purveyor of disinformation about cap and trade and even denies that climate change is caused by man. Today the two didn't debate the cause of the mess the state was in. They both picked up shovels and started trying to cope with the consequences.

  • See 04:19 to see her high heel shoes. As far as two previous postings, which are posted by so typical dumbos who cannot stay on the topic, are you seriously calling Obama center-right? Too many ignorant people learn few words and use them without knowing their definitions.

  • @perezDeSanFernando You're 100% correct. That being said, a Republican wouldn't be better.

I probably won't vote for President in 2012. I just can't bring myself to give support to Obama after he went back on almost everything he said and became a center-right dickhead.

"smaller government" doesn't really mean anything, though. Which part? I would say that the military budget needs to be cut tremendously, but I'm also a big proponent of social safety nets and UHC.

  • @58tkdmike

Mike, the bigger issue is why you'd want a failure like Obama to win re-election. Obama has simply been Bush's third term.

Nothing has changed with Obama - just more of the same. More war, more debt, more government. Step back for a second and realize that Obama has utterly failed at being different to Bush. America is still on the road to ruin.

  • You can just see CRAZY in this cunts eyes..... she is perfect for the GOP in 2012!!

  • ~~~> Is she really wearing high heel??

  • Showing up in a skirt and high heels, at best having herself and the camera crew getting in the way of the people who are there truly to protect their neighborhood. what shame.

  • Fucking welfare whore - more than 1/4 of a million taxpayers money to fucking drug addicted cunt - sloppy ass cunt

  • Uh, if you are worried about the mess your state is in, don't blame it on climate change.
