  • they need lower pH, or is that just theory ? if so, how do your lower pH ? by CO2?

  • @TheBSideDJ Hi there, here in Czech Republic (Central Europe) water from conduit (supply) is one of the best quality (worldwide) for breeding tropical fish. So I really dont care for pH.

  • @ellienpm your water cannot be better then in these fish native streams

  • @jarrod989 no one wrote that my water is better than that in Amazonia. anyway - our water has got great conditions for breeding tetras.

  • You need discus with your cardinals.

  • @loveflowers39 thanks. But my tank is too small.

  • I loved my cardinals! too bad I had to give them away :( in my opinion they're the best and most beautiful community fish!

  • aww they are so cute

  • @TheBSideDJ You can use Discus Buffer (it's just a power that you add to your water)

  • @TheBSideDJ Yes, they require a low PH if you want them to be brilliantly colored like these. They like a PH of 6.8 or lower. If the PH of your tap water is too high, it's likely hardness (high amounts of dissolved minerals) in your water is keeping the PH high. Get a GH (general hardness) and KH (carbonate hardness) testing kit and see if your water is hard.

  • i wanna get some zebra ones but fr=irst i have to gets some plants for my pleco to hide in and they have to be fast growing

  • Nice fish and tank, thanks for sharing.
