Republicans: Democrats' Budget Spends Too Much, Taxes Too Much, Borrows Too Much

At a press conference on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, Senate and House Republicans point out that the Democrats' budget spends too much, taxes too much, and borrows too much. The Democrats' budget will double the public debt in five years and nearly triple the public debt in 10 years. Republicans want to work with Democrats to craft a responsible budget that doesn't borrow from our children and grandchildren.

All of teh massive spending programs, the so-called shovel ready projects NObama wants to copy ended with the beginning of WWII. The govt stopped trying to pretend it could employ the country and concentrated on fighting the war.

THAT is when the economy recovered.

The new deal was a failure and NObama is copying. Therefore NObama will screw up the economy far worse than any of his predecessors.

Look up Japan's lost decade. They tried to spend their way out of a recession and it didn't work!

Actually the great depression ended because of the start of world war 2. Unemployment was virtually eliminated because of the war economy (in which the government subsidized businesses). In fact most of the New Deal regulations were in effect until the deregulation during the 70's and 80's.

I HAVE done research on the New DEal. All it did was PROLONG the depression! Even FDR's treasury secretary admitted that.

The country's economy didn't recover until FDR stopped all the new deal shit when World War 2 started.

The truth is that Keynesian economics is a proven failure and has never worked.

As I recall you guys got the bailout and spendapalooza going when you voted in the TARP for Bush, which clearly "pre-socialized" the economy and laid the ground work for Obama to be able to continue to blame all the spending on Bush. So while you distance yourselves from blame, Obama blames Bush. Come on you RINOS, get some "cajones" and make some real noise!

The housing market crashed because the housing committee forced Fannie Mae and Freedie Mac to make loans to people that NEVER should had got loans. By the way, that committee has been full of democrats for a long time.

Actually we were doing fine while we had a republican senate and house. It was when the democrats took the majority in both houses when things started going down the tubes. But as far as the financial mess, most of that was caused by democrats like barry frank, chris dodd and there friends on the housing and banking committees. You should educate yourself before you try to blame those that you hate. Otherwise it kinda makes you look stupid. The liberal media will only tell you one side.
