In 2007 Hamas took over Gaza and executed many PLO fighters, thus Hamas destroyed its opposition. PLO called it a great shame that Hamas DE-facto started a civil war. PLO fighter took not so surprising action and flee to Israel coordinated by PLO leadership that realized they were back stabbed by Hamas. Today they got so called truce, but still Gaza is under Hamas control. Its not so clear who will lead the future Palestinians state, but useful idiots will praise it for sure.
