One way to cut out a paddle.

This is part 3a. Part 3b is next.

Part 2 shows how to take the cut out blank and shape it up with a drawing knife. Part 3 shows how to take the shaped paddle and plane it down to a ready paddle. Part 4 is the final smoothing and a clear finish. This process should be cheap and quick. About 1 hour to a serviceable paddle, with a power saw, hand saw, drawing knife, hand-plane, files and sand-paper, 2 hours to a show-room finish
