B.L.A.C.K. - An Aboriginal Song of Hip-hop

B.L.A.C.K. is a cipher scribed by independent and Indigenous Hip-hop artist, Wire MC, who urges his audience to fathom what it might mean to be Black in contemporary Australia. This film, written and directed, co-produced and sound designed by Grant Leigh Saunders, through interview and observation visually and dialectically deconstructs Wire's song to speak of contemporary Aboriginal blackness, politics and culture. The filmmaker with his own roots in Hip-hop aligns himself with Wire MC and through a rapped narrative unravels the empowering acronym, Born Long Ago Creation's Keeper.

@CushiticSomalianMale im mixed african american /caucasian/american indian and i agree i am also a product of slave owners that kidnapped my african foremothers and sold from owner to owner , the same with aboriginals , aboriginals had it just as hard as african slaves back then , aboriginal children were kidnapped and turned into slaves and the whites that -"owned"- them raped them too and beat them and they were denied their heritage and culture just like my african and native ancesters
