Last week I took a lot of pictures and played some renaissance music for the soundtrack: Piezas de clarines, Alta Trinita beata, El grillo, Ballo del intorcia, Gagliarda etc....
The vocal music of the 16th century is as a literature also very interesting. Now an important notice: the instrument will be in the same room for at least six months .So I am full of confidence that we can achieve a quite stable tuning.
Enjoy the music! I will record some nice pieces in the next few weeks.

thanks for your interest! The problem of this Regal is the same as playing organ 200 years ago. The player needs a second person for the wind supply - do not think in the wrong direction ;-)) - in old times he found those people ( Kalkant in german ) they got some money and it was ok. But nowadays it is difficult to find a Kalkant. Lot of them are playing smartphone :0)

By the way: the instrument is now nearly perfect tuned as in the same room for 3 months

    greetings U. M.

  • Interesting instrument. It'd be nice to hear more!
