the french helped the US also in 1776 and they haven't helped us do anything since. The world would be dominated by nazi germany and japan if it was not for the US.

@lefonceur26 ...and Haiti's government has made shit decisions for the last 200 years, so where exactly does that leave Haitian people. Being the white man's pet sucks, but Dominicans and Puerto Ricans aren't starving and killing each other.

@BLACKBEAUTY8989 yeahriteeeeeeee
no haitian would go for it first of all, and second of all America STOLE Puerto Rico for its value. Haiti isn't worth enough money for the United States to steal, it would cost them more to take it than they would get out of it.
-
Y don't help them with the money instead of bring them here ...
-
Shouldn't allow those haitian imigrantion to America cuzz they violent like other rape, rob, gang, no good
-
I THINK IF WE CAN TAKE IN PUERTO RICO!! WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE IN HAITI!!! <3 its a LITTLE country anyways!! so lets make them CITIZENS!

there is something so fundamentally wrong when an obviously biased/prejudiced person calls another person a racist, (using THE most severely derogatory words.... yee-yuck. yes, i am prejudice, as i support those things that will support my people. and, no, it's of no matter to you, so i won't bother explaining exactly who my people are. i only leave you this one hint; it is YOU. double dang
sidenote: some subtitles would be .. helpful.

The Cuban adjustment act was created during the cold war as a result of communism in Cuba. In Cuba you can't vote, food is rationed, there no freedom of speach....This is not a issue of Racism as Afro-Cubans recieve the same treatment as whtie Cubans......Haiti has TPS now b/c of the earth quake.....if the USA were to let immigratn seek asylum based on economic reasons, then all immigrants will come to the USA.

Bright comment.
This video/post was before the January 12, 2010 earth quake that hit Haiti. I truly appreciate the response from the Obama administration, the heads of other countries, kind individuals, and corporations which responded. Haitians will never forget! This post was regarding the denial of "Temporary Protected Status (TPS)" to Haitians- by the Bush administration. If you are a "Bush" fan and are offended. I am sorry. The truth must be told! Furthermore, how are uneducated Haitians supposed to add something positive to the United States? I realize you have a strong attachment to Haiti but you really need to look at the issue objectively.

First of all, Haitian fought for U.S independent in 1779, Savannah. Respect that.
