i would get bad sportsmanship scores simply because i take a long time to play since i am reletivly new (only played for 1 1/2 years) and use alot of strategy thinking, and when people try to rush me OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND WONT STOP, i tend to get mad, and i begin to get my voice louder and louder

I disagree with you. I feel that the winner at a tournament should be the person that best embodies the entirety of the miniature games hobby. Of course, that includes bringing a well thought out army and good tactics. But it also includes painting and converting, sportsmanship and knowledge of the back-story/fluff.

The people that fully embrace the hobby for what it is (not just a wargame), those are the ones that ultimately keeps the community going. At least from my experience.

Why would doing it in private be fair? I'm sure someone would be thinking on taking advantage of this and tank the opponent's score. This will definitely happen in the final games at the top tables:

"If I give him a fair sportsmanship score and he tanks me, he wins the tournament. However if I tank him and he gives me a fair score, I win!"

I unfortunately don't have a solution to this, I just wanted to point out that the system can easily be broken either it is secret or not.

Army composition has nothing to do with Sportsmanship!
Sportsmanship is how your opponent handles himself during the game.
Slamming someone for Army Composition on his Army Sportsmanship scores is down right wrong. I understand that people do it because of the "legacy of composition" that American Grand Tournaments started.
In the UK this doesn't seem to be a problem, because they have never dealt with composition scores.....everyone just brings their hardest list.
