Mario Kart: Double Dash!! -100cc playthrough, with commentary
Part 1

This was recorded about a month ago, I just haven't gotten around to posting it because of the Mario Kart Wii stuff.

But yes, Mario Kart: Double Dash!! was the series entry on the Nintendo GameCube. This one was different from its predecessors because it involved having two characters on one kart, with one driving and the other using items and such.

The game also featured different types of karts to choose from for each weight class, a first for the series, as well as Special Items unique to each duo of characters (i.e., Mario/Luigi's Fireballs, Wario/Waluigi's Bob-ombs, etc.), among other changes.

We'll continue with Double Dash!! in the next video with the Flower Cup courses.

I had a different version of mkdd wen it released the title screen intro cutscene and music was playing on the title screen

It's been so long since i've played this game. It looks almost sped up compared to MKW

i remember this game. it was fun, at some points. sure there was a few up and downs, but hell, a good game nevertheless. I wished they kept that baby park in MKW. What you said about the items, would so happen lol. So much Cluster F*** in that stage lol

I'd have to say I loved the mechanics in this Mario Kart more than any other.

Except that Petey Piranha and King Boo kind of ruined the point of the characters having special abilities...
