Baby caiques and Conure play time

The babies are a good 8 weeks old now. They are so very sweet and playful right now!! The oldest baby has been flying for a couple of days now and I am sure the other two will be flying soon also.

Sugar and Jenny both have families now. We are very happy about that...but I sure am going to miss these little angels!! I don't think there will ever be another baby like Sugar. I have sure enjoyed her personality. As you can see in this video she is very maternal and caring and seems to really want to care for her little siblings. I think it is wonderful that Rita named Sugar. We personally LOVE the name, and it does fit her. Some of our 3 dogs were named by their breeders/families before they came to live with us. One of the names we kept, one we changed. No worries. It just means that these babies are all truly loved by each family that raises them! :)

Sweet little guys. Caiques are very rare and hard to come by in Australia (never seen one in a pet shop, but there are breeders), but Conures are well known. Total clowns!

I love them all, but I just hope one day, people stop begin a god. It is rather sad that they are raised to be sold. They are not human's toy.
