The Evergreen Plainsmen were one win away from a share of the 4A GSHL title and a Monday tie-breaker date with Skyview and Heritage. Mountain View, was not going to let this happen.
After falling behind 7-0 early, the Thunder scored 21 unanswered points and then contorlled the clock the rest of the game and hang on for the 35-21 win.

Hey everyone I have a friend that has a son that played for Mountain View in this game. This was a well played game, amazing that neither of these teams made the state playoffs, this speaks well for your league. Tell your kids they all played a great game regardless of whether they won or lost....especially the seniors...great football.

For our seniors, it was their last ever highschool football game and they came so damn close to winning, beating their rivals, and moving on to the playoffs!
No words can explain how they felt.

That was a damn hard loss for us!
Its kind of hard to get the full picture from this video but we were down by a touchdown with aout a minute left on the clock, and we were 3rd and goal from about the 4 yard line... marvin ended up rolling out and his pass was intercepted and taken 90 yards for a touchdown.
Mt. View is, and has always been, our biggest rival. To go to the playoffs we had to win that game and we would go to a tie break game the following monday. It was a truely hard loss.
