McMurdo Sound Antarctica by boat

After pushing through 3 nautical miles of frozen sea ice we break through into the clear water of McMurdo Sounds deep down at the south end of the Ross Sea. It is as far south as you can go by boat. On the edge of the land Ross Island is McMurdo Base the America station down at Antarctica. To it's right is Observation Hill and to its left is Hutt Point where the Discovery Hutt is situated. Discovery Hutt is the 1st hutt that Scott erected when he travelled to these parts.
