  • Young Madilu. How cute!!!! RIP

  • Not in this song though!!

  • Great Djoe Mpoyi (RIP), fantastic performer. Only recently learnt that there was a breakaway at TP OK Jazz in early 80s with Mpoyi taking his way together with others like Lukoki. Bands were formed such as Orchestre Kara de Kinshansa, Le Canon du Zaire, Ba Patrons, Tiers Monde Cooperation, OK International. Anybody with vids of these bands?

  • Babmushe, what de you call a breakaway? When a couple of guys slip into a studio for an afternoon?

  • Haha...fantastic! So it was not really something to talk about when these guys formed their own 'bands'. It must have been a very short afternoon then, but do you have any famous title produced by one of these 'bands'?

  • Kady by Canon du Zaire I seem to remember (Josky, Djo, possibly Diatho) was not too bad. But it's been a while, I'm not sure.

  • Joe Mpoyi, RIP. Bel homme le type des vrais Luba. Existent-ils encore?

  • One in a millions. Thanks Luambo Makiadi for your body of work.

His not only in his composition, but also in ability t assemble the best musician where member of the band is at the top of his game whenever they performed. He got the best of out his musician. I explained by the fact Franco does not seem to have an ego, where he has this need to play on every song, or always be in the front row of the band.

  • @AboubacarSiddikh You're right. That's Djo Mpoyi
