@jamesskb Also, just to clarify a little something. I WAS NOT infering even remotely that those issues apply to a Paul McCartney concert. Anyway, I get your point. I, on the other hand, at least have to give him E...for EFFORT, inspite of the facts of what getting on in years can do to a person's life. I would have tried to find a video of a recent concert BEFORE shelling out THE DOUGH AND then bemoaning someone. But that's what I would have done.
@macrockettere I agree: McCartney needs to retire. I have been playing for many years and can tell a washed up singer when I here one. I paid $150.00 to see The Eagles on their Hell Freezes over tour (Felder era) and Farewell I Tour (post Felder) was worth every penny. Band is still on top of their game today. Doobie Brothers. Another top notch act still on top of their game. Pat Benatar. Another good one still kicking. Need I list more or is that enough to prove my point?
@jamesskb Steve, what ARE you thinking? What year is this? I meant to hit reply and deleted my own comment....lol... Try a Sir Paul McCartney concert then if you think prices are unreasonable & the show's no good. Judging from the sound of you, I doubt you can find anything good to say in having to shell out a mere $30 in this economy! Everybody ages too! I don't think you are being very considerate of other factors as well.
@macrockettere HEY YOU! Their are no Brownie points in the music business for trying when you are busting peoples pocketbooks for $30.00 or more (Vegas is probably a hell of a lot more) a ticket to see them stand up on stage and butcher their own material (checkout recent Whitney Houston for a good example).
It would be hard to drop the key with horn and keyboard parts already written out for hired guns. It might even give the song a "bluesy" feel if it is dropped which is something popsters want to avoid.
This is not the Huey I remember. Huey, take a cue from Ozzy and all of the other over the hill 80's rockers. Think of drop tuning. If you can't hit it, drop it!!
Always struck me as a guy who forced his voice
How his voice box put up w it is beyond me
Just look at Paul Young who also strained his vocal chords over the years

good tune, however he was never a good singer and as far as tuning down, there are not any high notes in this song.
