@lutzdify I read on Wikipedia that the original Pac-Man's cartridge had only half as much RAM as its follow up games. They may have done it to speed up the 5-week production time. I have read about these kinds of things with game carts limiting the RAM amount in earlier installments, like the first Sonic game had 8 bits of RAM, versus maybe double in Sonic 3 without the Sonic and Knuckles expantion cart. Thought I''d share that with all of you. :)

@lutzdify Have you ever seen "A Better Pac Man" on Atari Age? Its a hack of Mrs. Pacman but its exactly what this game should have been.

The main reason WHY pac-man for the atari 2600 was so flicker-y when it came to mutliple ghost sprites as well as very limited animation was not because pac-man on the 2600 was impossible, it was because the game wasn't EVEN HALF FINISHED when the managers at atari decided to released it early!!!!!!

And, to top it off, the "Pac-Man" commercial was false advertising.
The actual 2600 game looks nothing like what's shown on the commercial.
