This is Queen's bohemian Rhapsody, a wonderful song. it's off the record directly, so this is what people would have heard when it was new.
I recorded the music and the record spinning separatly, because it was nearly impossible to do it together because of the mic on the videocamera being really bad. But, it IS the actual record and it WAS playing the right track that you see on the screen, but there is no sound coming out because I turned off the pre-amp.
and yes there is usually the pause between putting the needle down and the music starting because I put the needle at the right place right before the earlier song in the album.
The reasons that this particular recording is so scratchy are the following:
The Stereo RCA output has one rusty, taped together wire and one skimpy looking one that intermittenly stops working (or it might be the taped one that does that)
2: The record was old and this song was very overplayed in it's heyday.
3: As you can see the needle is hanging low, it's held up in a small hook, and it may have come unhooked.
4. As the turntable is old, it might just be dying.
