to be honest the only way i could get ride of gettting directed to the dodgy site was to format.i tryed every thing i thought a format would sort out the recicler problem also but no shuch luck.once i formated i could double click c drive in my computer but all my other drives were haveing the same problem as befor. i would of tryed a system restoe but sadly i hadnt set up any restor points gutted.

this removed the recycler file from my directory and i can now open my drives. but it is still on one external and now when i click flash disinfector it says page load error. i also still have a problem with being re directed to dodgy sights. any idea what other virus i might have as well?

@ondahonda..... hi did you plug you external drives in befor you did the patch? as for the doggy sites you can delete all your cookies and temp internet files and then reset you internt explorer ......its in internet options hope this helps.

Flash disinfector doesn't remove recycler, it just prevents it from executing of replocating itself,, however it would be just there hiding in you registery and you "system volume information" folder.

as soon as you delete the autorun.inf folder created by the flash disinfector, it will get back to annoy you.

And by the way flash disinfector is not a trojan.

My Eset Antivirus scanner tells me that the download (of Flash Disinfector) contains a Trojan...

That may be just a false positve, flash disinfector will not remove it from your computer, just your jump drive. Malwarebytes is the only one that took it off for me anyway.
