Canon A480 - 640x480 30fps with optical zoom and manual focus

A low-end camera made perfect, all thanks to the CHDK :-)

Now we see that those looters from Canon did not include this in their original firmware on purpose, just to lower the price tag. :)

@opreacg Where did I mention about the camera being perfect? It's very simple to use and offers just basic shooting options without the CHDK. I think the CHDK really extends the possibilities of this camera to the high-end ones.

I mean, it's really good to buy a hundred-box camera and "mod" it with a custom software. You can do many many things with CHDK..

@Maio0oia I think that's why it has been disabled in the original firmware. :D

CHDK has also the option of turning the microphone off at zooming/focusing, but then it makes loud pops in the audio track.

So I'll better wait for some stand-alone software and try to permanently change the camera's firmware.I got a 32mb MC but I won't use it so is useless because I must use the 4gb card.Hopefully CHDK will release some software soon.Thanks a lot and have fun with this noise free A480.

NiCE. it looks hd because it focus' i wish my camera can focus during video. it only focus' during picture mode
