@freejrs that's a bit harsh ... nobody, and especially jeff beck, is going to please everybody ... personally, i don't demand that everyone like the same music i do ... and i don't call those who don't morons ...

@therealcraigbaxter While that may be true......I think we can safely assume that anyone who doesn't like Jeff Beck's guitar playing is either A) a moron, or B) a total bloody moron.

Is it just me...or does Jeff sound a bit weak on this?
Sounds like his heart isn't really in it.
This just hasn't got his usual pumping spot-on drive...
Perhaps he had piles that day?

Just can't get the thundering original with Jan Hammer's incredible keyboards and (was it?) Cobham on drums - think the riff is more suited for them than Vinnie - line up not strong enough here....

this is where the legend of the 60's rocketed away from the masters of the 60's such as clapton and others--they stagnated--but beck just entered new realms of playing existance.

i can see how some people would not like jeff beck's playing ... it's a personal taste thing ... i'm a guitar player and i happen to love it ... everyone has their own likes and dislikes, and fair enough ... but never say he isn't a great guitar player ... ask any of the great guitar players and they'll all tell you that jeff beck is a master ... here endeth the lesson ...

@todd0000420 He's pulling the string STRAIGHT OUT with either his thumb and index finger OR he does it with just his thumb if he's pulling the tremelo ........RENT this (or buy it) and WATCH HIS HANDS while he plays.....this is the best views / shots of some of his techniques.....
