An old Marty Robbins' song from the film "Hell on wheels". It was the steel playing which drew me to the song. The original is naturally infinitely better but I try and try not to do the same thing twice and not to pick songs which are too well known. This song is for Ms. Lang, whose whereabouts are unknown to me, but who has been waiting for some time for a completely different song and I hope that I shall be allowed some time to finish the song I started before this one. It is not a "modern" song and all the tracks are home-made. The photographs are not of course. I hope some of you enjoy it. It is an amateur version of a song sung by one of the best voices in country music backed up by a magnificent band.

Merci Tim.

  • Hi Tim: Totally enjoyed this one, sure has that classic Nashville sound and I love it. All Thumbs UP, and MANY THANKS TIM, C.W.

  • @harleyhawgn

Well it took long enough to get the rather odd collection of photos together and, as usual, the steel was a tricky carry-on all together. I am very glad to hear that you feel that it was worth it. I need an expert's advice in these matters which too often escape me. It was kind of you to be "so quick off the mark" in your comments.

And please be assured that it is I who am beholden to you CW.

    Tim.

  • Now there's a dog that makes my day !

Many thanks for your straightforward encouragement.

  • Now there is an expressionwith which I am not too familiar. I hope it does not mean that the song is an utter disaster. I mean I did rehearse it several times, but since the kind message ends upon a note of gratitude, I feel a little more reassured.

Thank you for listening and commenting so quickly.

    Tim.
