My Yamaha SR 500 after tuning with hot cam, mikuni carbie and KN airfilters. Should produce between 42-45hp now on the engine. Very good throttle response.

  • love the look of this SR; really clean. sort of how i think the bike should've been produced.

how fast have you gotten it to with all the tuning?

  • @cadeuce the topspeed is the same as the original bikes, but the acceleration and tourque is much better. But thats what i was going for anyway :-)

  • Nice bike, what do you think of the Yamaha SRX models?

  • @JakeW476 I like the SRX6 very much. Its got a good engine with a nice sound if you get a good pipe on it. And its basically a cafe racer from the start. Wouldnt mind owning one at all, but im afraid i already have too many bikes :-)

  • Nice SR, thanks for the share.

  • @Projoiner1 no problem. Glad you like it :-)

  • Man, this bike made eme fall in love...

I'm turning my ybr into something very similar.

  • @bikerdude73 Video made me a little nostalgic, my red 78 ended it's life in the side of a 6 point buck deer at aprox. 135kph, that was a lot years ago now, and did open the door for a red 86 SRX 6 (much fun) which sadly, is also now gone.

Of course, a man can't be without a bike, and now have a red 82 R65LS.

    (still miss the SR)

    Cheers

  • @MrOzWarrior The rearsets are from kedo in germany, but not sure if they make them anymore. The front disk is from a yamaha yzf750 with aluminium center and the calipper is from a R6.

  • Great bike mate! I like your taste with the style of this baby. Can you tell me more about he rearsets, are they custom? and the front disc rotor?

    Cheers
