That will have an effect on the african countries not dealing in confict diamonds and therefore more problems so its better to know how exactly and were your diamonds came from..there are processes in place at this time and if they cannot provide the documentation,then the diamonds should NOT BE BOUGHT.

i think alot of the celebs today know what are the cost of their diamonds and try to match that cost with a monetary value. but it still doesn't equate.
btw, this shouldn't be in the arts and animation category. it's more informative.

If someone wants a clean alternative, it's possible to get certified conflict-free diamonds from Canada that are tracked through their entire chain of custody to make sure that they aren't blood diamonds. Brilliant Earth (www.brilliantearth.com) is a company in San Francisco which sells only conflict-free / fair trade diamonds and recycled gold. They also donate money to communities in Africa which have been ravaged by the diamond industry.

The fact is ppl get use to how they're living "now". If we take away cars, rice, fridges, tv's, ppl won't know how to live in the past. Society is going in one direction, when (and it will) go backwards, ppl will have a hard time adjusting to life, but its do-able.
ppl should need to learn how to give up accessories. If Amererica had no water, and Africa did, then fuck it, i need my water. but this is not the case and like (nycgrl) said, "Just don't buy them PERIOD"

People, diamonds, oil, doesn't matter how we get it, or how we find it, humanity goes out the window for natural resources. China is getting out of hand with the abuse of their people and we're letting it happen cause we need rice.
