Beeautiful bike! Looks exactly the same as my dads nighthawk. His only has 4300 original Kms, and he's the original owner!

beautiful peace of machinery

By off song, he obviously means that at idle, he was only running on 3 cylinders.
Once he blipped the throttle a few times, the fourth cylinder started to fire properly.
I had similar issues at times on mine.
That paint fading on the upper part of the tank was also quite common.

I've got the same bike. Where did you get aftermarket signals?

@stuie195 It is a Corbin seat I got with the bike when I bought it.
They are expensive.

I had a blue/black 85....I really regret selling it more than any of the other bikes I've owned. It was so maintanence free even by today's standards. And, It still looks hot. Beautiful job!

Thanks...maybe you'll come across another someday, one of the true greats from the 80's.
This is my 2nd one..had a red 86 at one time.
Took this vid. the day after I bought it. It runs and looks much better now.

I just bought one in august, same 700 red '84 N-hawk.... And it's the best thing I've ever done :) I need a new seat though, the old one is shredded
Cheers!

Great bike. Do you have oil in the starter,
mine does...got to somehow get a new seal.
Restored mine and it runs great. I installed a dynojet kit which helps throttle response and changed cam timing which improves low end
power. It runs a lot better now.
Check on e-bay for a seat from time to time...you maybe can get a cover. Mine has a ripped corbin on it. If you need info on cam change e-mail my inbox....safe riding
