Making of the Kilt

This is a cheap design for mass quick kilts used in an annual Highland Games event. In no way is this supposed to be an official kilt. Thanks for the comments. And please for all you super serious kilt experts have fun with your own designs.

Here's an interesting tip on keeping your pleats pressed even after you washed the kilt: Sew the fold of each pleat. use an edge foot if you must on your machine.

@ABWEndon There are 2 ways for kiltpleating, pleated to the sett and pleated to the stripe. In the video the kilt is pleated to the stripe.

Pleated to the sett means you repeat the pattern so that it does look like the unpleated cloth. When pleating to the stripe, the pleats are folded so that one particular line is centred on every pleat.
