What makes this scene so great is the dynamic of the relationship between Splinter and Rafael. Rafael is stubborn, rebellious, and full of rage with everyone else, but with Splinter he is calm, gentle, and respectful. He looks at him in a different light, for nurture. And also, everything that Splinter tells him he never forgets it. Almost like a therapist lol
