French soprano Sandrine Piau singing L'Amour's aria Pour Vous L'Aimable Aurore Fait Éclore from the third part of Jean-Joseph Cassanéa De Mondonville's 1758 opéra-ballet Les Fêtes De Paphos called L'Amour Et Psyché. Recorded in 1997 with the orchestra Les Talens Lyriques conduced by Christophe Rousset. While my heart lies closer to Italian opera seria, I most certainly do not intend to ignore the wonders of French repertoire, especially if it is of such etheral beauty as this piece most certainly is.
